Partnering with Variety to support impoverished Kiwi kids
At Proactive Fire, we believe in doing business with a purpose. That’s why a large portion of our profits are donated to children’s charity Variety by sponsoring 83 children in need across New Zealand.
With one in eight Kiwi children living in material hardship, our involvement with Variety allows us to make a real difference by supporting initiatives that improve the health, education, and well-being of these young New Zealanders.
Our partnership with Variety is about more than just financial assistance—it’s about creating opportunities for children to thrive and break free from the cycle of poverty.
Since our founding in June 2016, Proactive Fire has operated with a mission to do things differently. We not only deliver expert fire safety services but also focus on giving back to the community in meaningful ways.
Our company philosophy includes a wage cap of $60 per hour for every employee, and we value effort and dedication over traditional hierarchies. This approach ensures that after our team is paid fairly, and profits are channelled into supporting causes like Variety.
Every staff member also has the opportunity to nominate a $1,000 annual donation to a charity of their choice, further embedding the value of giving into our company culture.
By choosing Proactive Fire, you’re not just prioritising fire safety—you’re helping us support children in need.
Every client we work with contributes to the causes we support, allowing us to make an even bigger impact on the lives of vulnerable Kiwis.
Together with Variety, we’re committed to building a better future for all.
